Silver, brass, copper wearable and displayable fabricated pieces
"Art is in the eye of the beholder. My joy is to help create a person’s vision in silver, copper, and/or brass."
Ginger Smietana was trained in the arts from an early age. This occurred primarily in music, dance, and oil painting. Since no longer having to work a 7:30 AM to 6 PM job, she had been able to devote focused time to helping others express their thoughts in silver, copper, and brass. When not working directly for a client, she creates objects from her own experiences.
- 2008 - 2015 Kalamazoo Institute of Art, Kirk Newman School of Arts training in metals

Ideals of creation:
"Each piece comes from my heart. Since I believe that my feelings, when I create, are transmitted to the metal, I am always in good spirits during the process. Should I become frustrated, even a little, I put the piece away until the frustration passes. The metal seems to talk with me letting me know what it wants to become; some call this being artistic. When a client asks me to design something, we talk for a while so that I get an idea of the purpose of the piece and what the intended recipient is like. This allows me to make suggestions. In the end, the client makes the decisions. I have many happy custom piece clients who keep returning for new pieces."
"There is something unique about each piece. I do not manufacture like regular store bought jewelry pieces. Each piece is handcrafted with love. Each piece is made from sustainable and reliable sourced materials."
